Cruising down the road I am often laughed at by other drivers as I chair dance in my car to the musical stylings of:
Mostly Michael Franti--Yell Fire, All Rebel Rockers
Wookiefoot---Be Fearless and Play
Krishna Das--Om Namah Shivaya!
Colleen Buckman
Xavier Rudd.
Also in LA I found a great radio station, www.kpfk.org. In fact it is the only radio station I ever heard where they mention that the USA economy is built on permanent WAR. and WEAPONS ARE OUR BIGGEST IMPORTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok City family and Santa Fe Zydeco!
So I arrived in OK City on Feb 8th in the evening. Now I had not seen the OK city Andersons in quite a long time. Although I had seen my Aunt and Uncle 2 years ago at my sisters wedding, the boys remained a mystery. The younger one, Mitch was an ex-marine. Scary images of pro-war brainwashed meat-heads flashed involuntarily through my mind as I approached Edmond, a suburb not unlike, oh let's say Woodbury, for you TC folks. Lucky for us all that was not the case. In fact he builds models out of match sticks, look it's La Tour Eiffel. My other cousin Tim is living in an artist type community in OK City---he just doesn't have the stomach to live out in the burbs, and as a former Eden Prairie resident I can't say I blame him.
So we all went for a nice family dinner and I spent a pleasant 2 days in OK City and even took Ed and Mitch to my all time favorite movie Avatar!
Imagine my relief when we ALL hated that horribly painful and misleading piece of National Guard propaganda they subjected us to at the beginning! They loved Avatar though!
From there I headed out to Santa Fe, which was the worst drive of all. Driving through Oklahoma and Texas nearly drained the life outta me. It got better once I got into NM, but then my friend Ed dragged me out to a show---I probably would have loved it had I been conscious--Rosie Ledet, Zydeco Princess.
Road Tripping! part 1--running on empty! Minneapolis to BFE Iowa.
So I started my trip about 1 month ago, escaping yet another snowstorm with a fantasy that I could somehow drive from Minneapolis to OK City in one day, even though I did not leave until 4pm. Clearly delusional I set out into the snow and drove for about 250 miles. Then I noticed a little red light flickering on Carvatti's instrument panel. Carvatti is my 1996 Volvo 850. She has about 140,000 miles and I had just charged her unreliable battery and added oil before I left. Now I watched as the little red light flickered on and off, finally staying on long enough for me to see it was my oil light!!! OOPS. Now I know that when the oil light comes on, it usually means you have NO OIL in the engine. Which means the engine can SEIZE UP, and you car in finished. Now luckily I was right near an exit, so I pulled into one of the many gas stations that has had the pleasure of taking my money and opened the hood---and guess what??? Bibeau had left the CAP OFF the engine...so the was freaking oil everywhere. I put in FIVE quarts! FIVE! Yes, highly annoying. Not to mention all the oil I had to wipe up from everywhere. (this oil later dripped onto my Uncle Norm's pristine driveway at the Gated Golf Course retirement community in Tuscon)
Then I came to terms with the fact that I was NOt going to make it to OK City in one night, no matter how much of Young Living's energy oil I sniffed. Nor was I about to try to sleep in Carvatti at a rest area--although I tried. So I slept at a Super 8 motel for 5 hours and ate a free waffle before taking off into yet another storm...

Investing in Reality
As humanity enters a critical time of intense shifting there is a tendency to perceive the various destructive elements with a sense of fear, panic, denial, clinging and almost fanatical adherence to structures that are clearly in shambles.
Instead of recognizing our interconnectedness with the universe, we continue to insist upon our illusion of separateness. Our connection and interactions with the various elements of nature need to function in harmony with all the living beings who still survive on Mother Earth.
As the world economies falter we need to take the opportunity to look at what so many billions and trillions of dollars is being used for.
How much is being spent on war?
How much is being spent on plastic crap-- including bottle water and energy drinks?
How much is being spent on chemicals?
How much is being spent on education?
How much is spent on food?
How much is spent on coffee? Diet-aids, addiction treatment, drugs and alcohol, entertainment, toilet paper, 500 hundred roses for yr ex-girlfriend's birthday(random but true).
I'm just thinking it makes a lot of sense to re-evaluate our economic priorities and our opportunities.
Because think of what we could be spending our resources on...
Sustainability
Clean Water
Clean Energy
Feeding hungry people and children
Family farms, organic cooperatives and natural bio-diversity, instead of genetically modified organisms and huge agri-business.
Natural and holistic wellness and health care
Education
Art
Enlightenment
The economy is dependent on individuals, but if we act as one and make a commitment together to only support conscious products, we can revolutionize our world. Then we can co-create a different reality that is more in harmony with all the various factors that make up our existence in a human body, on the planet Earth.
